1. Who we are
Fuello is a meal awareness app designed to help adults who struggle to eat regularly due to time blindness, executive dysfunction, or similar challenges. Fuello is operated as a sole trader business registered in Australia.
In this policy, "Fuello", "we", "us", and "our" refers to the Fuello business. "You" refers to any person who visits fuello.com.au, signs up to our waitlist, or uses our prototype or app.
We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
The short version: We collect only what we need, we never sell your data, and we give you full control over what we hold about you.
2. What information we collect
Information you give us directly
- Email address — when you join our waitlist via fuello.com.au
- Your name — if you provide it during onboarding in the Fuello prototype or app
- Feedback and notes — any text you submit through the in-app feedback feature
- Custom meal entries — meal names and prep times you add yourself
Information collected automatically through the app
- Meals logged — what you ate and when, as recorded by you in the app
- App interaction data — which screens you visit, how often you snooze nudges, which meals you select
- Urgency and timing data — time gaps between meals used to calculate your urgency score
- Allergen and sensory preferences — dietary restrictions and sensory settings you configure
- Shopping list items — ingredients you add to your shopping list
Information we do NOT collect
- Your precise GPS location (we use general context signals only)
- Health records, medical history, or diagnosis information
- Payment card details (handled entirely by Stripe — we never see your card)
- Data from your contacts, camera, or microphone unless you explicitly grant permission for a specific feature
Prototype note: The current Fuello prototype stores all data locally on your device only (via browser localStorage). No prototype data is transmitted to our servers.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To operate the app — calculating your urgency score, selecting meal options, sending nudges at appropriate times
- To personalise your experience — filtering meals based on your allergen and sensory preferences, learning from your meal history
- To contact you about your waitlist signup — letting you know when the app launches and your founding member spot is ready
- To improve the product — aggregated and anonymised usage patterns help us understand what's working and what isn't
- To respond to feedback — if you submit a feedback note, we may use it to improve the app or follow up with you
- To process payments — subscription billing via Stripe and RevenueCat when the paid product launches
We will never use your data for advertising purposes, and we will never sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Sensitive and health-adjacent data
Fuello is designed for adults who experience challenges with eating regularly — challenges often associated with ADHD, executive dysfunction, or sensory processing differences. We treat this context with care.
Important: Fuello is not a medical app and does not provide medical advice. Nothing in the app constitutes a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or clinical intervention. If you have concerns about your health or eating patterns, please consult a qualified health professional.
Under the Australian Privacy Act, information about a person's health is classified as sensitive information and attracts a higher level of protection. While Fuello does not collect formal health records or diagnoses, we recognise that meal timing data, sensory preferences, and allergen information may be considered health-adjacent.
We handle this data with the following protections:
- Health-adjacent data is never shared with advertisers or data brokers
- Allergen and sensory preference data is used only to filter meal suggestions within your app experience
- We do not infer, store, or share any diagnosis or clinical information about you
- Aggregated research or product insights are always anonymised before any analysis
5. Who we share data with
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate Fuello. Each is carefully selected and bound by their own privacy commitments:
Netlify
Our website (fuello.com.au) is hosted by Netlify. Waitlist email submissions are stored on Netlify's servers. Netlify's privacy policy is available at netlify.com/privacy.
Supabase (when app launches)
We use Supabase for our app database and authentication. Your account data and app usage data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
Stripe and RevenueCat (when paid tier launches)
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat. We never store or see your payment card details. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
Anthropic Claude API
Fuello uses the Claude API to generate personalised nudge copy. Minimal contextual data (urgency level, time of day, meal window) may be passed to generate nudge text. No personally identifiable information is included in these API calls. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy.
OneSignal (when app launches)
Push notifications are delivered via OneSignal. Device tokens are used to route notifications to your device. OneSignal's privacy policy is available at onesignal.com/privacy.
We do not share your data with any other third parties. We will never sell your personal information.
6. How we store and protect your data
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access. Specific measures include:
- All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
- Access to user data is restricted to the Fuello operator and essential service providers only
- Waitlist email addresses are stored on Netlify's secured infrastructure
- App data (when launched) is stored on Supabase with row-level security controls
- Payment data is never stored by Fuello — handled entirely by Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our service or as required by law. If you request deletion of your data, we will action this within 30 days.
We are a small, bootstrapped Australian startup. While we take data protection seriously and follow best practices, we are not yet ISO 27001 certified or SOC 2 compliant. We will update this policy as our security posture matures.
7. Your rights and choices
Under the Australian Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date
- Deletion — request that we delete your personal information. We will action this within 30 days
- Opt-out — unsubscribe from waitlist or marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email we send
- Complaint — lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au if you believe we have mishandled your data

8. Cookies and analytics
Our website (fuello.com.au) uses minimal cookies necessary for the site to function. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Netlify Analytics) to understand how many people visit our site and which pages are most viewed. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect the functionality of some features.
9. Children's privacy
Fuello is designed for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@fuello.com.au and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time as Fuello grows and our data practices evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify waitlist members by email.
Your continued use of Fuello after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
